The lunar new year is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. Families get together to celebrate reunions and enjoy beautiful meals on new year's eve. 

On the very first day of the new year, Taiwanese people will go to a temple to pray to the gods for health, wealth, safety, and a prosperous year. 

The image below is the temple I usually go to and it is famous for one of the most wealthy men in Taiwan. Hearsay the Foxconn founder, Terry Gou used to live at this temple during his childhood, and where Terry Gou’s bedroom was the place where the god of wealth lived. Until now, Terry Gou is still a true believer, who comes to this temple and shares his lucky money on the lunar new year.
